I haven't had a kitchen in a week and it's killing me. A cats seem to be really enjoying the box mountains they have to climb on though. The movers come at 9AM tomorrow morning, thankfully. I hope to be back up and running by Sunday night. But now time for some more take out.

Julie and I are moving in nearly a week. Into our first apartment as a (nearly) married couple. It's pretty close to where we currently live, but with some extremely important changes. This time it's about the finished version of the dish you're seeing to the left, botifarra de porc amb foie d’ànec fresc. It's seriously delicious. Pork sausage on top of a bed of white beans cooked in port wine with a port wine reduction on top. Go read Reduce, Reduce, Reduce now. But then come back here, please.

It's 19:00 CET. My coworker Joe and I are in a Taxi near Placa de Jaume, going to meet some people for dinner. We've been in Spain for twelve hours. The cab driver stops and turns around and starts yelling something in Spanish. Or maybe it was Catalan. Either way, I have no clue what he's saying. Joe, who tok a little Spanish in high school is able to discern "No driving" and "left than right." ...

If it helps I haven't been cooking recently. I've been quite busy between being away for several weekends in a row, looking for a new apartment and working late I just haven't had time to cook, much less write about food. Well, that's sort of a lie. I made brunch when I was up in Vermont. I don't have an photos, but it was pretty damn tasty. A little fruit salad, some greens and quiche. I do have a (mostly meandering) new column on Snooth today though, so if you're looking for a little love, check that out.
